Goethe-Institut Bangladesh cordially invites you to the workshop “ARTS IN EDUCATION” by Tomas Bünger, dancer and choreographer of the TanzkollektivBremen.

This workshop is for all dancers and dance teachers interested in working with diverse groups of society. How to dance with younger or elder people and people with special needs? How can dance be a tool for people to express themselves through dance without being a professional dancer?

About the Choreographer:

Tomas Bünger studied Classical and Modern Stage Dance at the Hanover University of Music and Drama.
From 1999-2012 he was a dancer at Tanztheater Bremen under the artistic direction of Susanne Linke and Urs Dietrich.
He has worked with many international choreographers such as Emanuel Gat, Ingun Bjørnsgaard and Tero Saarinen and has performed throughout the world.
2009-2012 he was also choreographic assistant. Today he deals with the passing on of movement knowledge in the most different social areas.
In the summer of 2013, he did an integrative dance teacher training course at the Mark Morris Dance Center in New York (Dance for People with Parkinson’s).
Since 2014, he has worked as a visiting lecturer regularly with the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh. In 2015, he was guest lecturer at the University of the Arts in Buenos Aires (UNA). Since 2017 he gives master classes for students of the College of Art in the Social Ottersberg. In 2017 he choreographed the Tanztheater “Turnen” for the Theater Bremen, a production with 15 young men. In 2018 he become a lecturer at the University of Bremen in the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Studies.
He is a jury member of the Tanztreffen der Jugend as part of the Berliner Festspiele and co-founder of TanzKollektivBremen
